Play is purposeful (and it’s plentiful here at Kineo). At choice time, we let imagination lead the way and during outdoor recess we embrace the joy of play, allowing students to build friendships, get creative, move their bodies, and explore their environment.
Indoor Choice Time
Research shows that free choice time is vital for young learners. When children choose their activities, they engage more deeply and stay motivated. At The Kineo School, we let imagination take the lead during choice time, giving students the freedom to explore classroom materials in ways that excite and inspire them. Students get to practice their social skills and connect with their teachers in a more relaxed setting.
Outdoor Play
We know the transformative benefits of outdoor free play. It boosts children's physical health, motor skills, and cognitive development. Outdoor free play is a natural stage for collaboration, negotiation, and conflict resolution, nurturing social skills and emotional well-being. Kineo kids enjoy 60 minutes of recess every day, where they can play, explore, and embrace the joy of getting a little dirty.
